yeah i actually started stepping down instead of jumping off. i go a lot longer this way and if there is another exercise that follows i'm not winded. that is a great time for the burpees. went i went away last weekend to w. va. i did 50 for time on the side of a wet mountain. my time was 4:10. it sucked but was also great at the same time.
Good idea; jumping off probably isn't the best for one's knees. I'll have to try mountain burpees at some time!
Loving the workouts, Brandon; just wish I could stay healthy enough to remain consistent. Weather oscillations and snot-nosed students make for an unpredictable Fall! Anything you do to boost your immune system?
well jumping off can be done granted you land on the bof! there has the most muscle elasticity. yeah those conditions do not sound pleasant, for anyone. my immune system i stay charged with a loose 'zone' diet or paleo food choices. followed by vitamin and mineral supplementation at the end of each day. that way if my nutrition missed something i still got it in the end. that is the only supplement i take, the rest i get from whole foods. do not overlook washing hands regularly and some hand sanitizer.

I'm with you on the box jumps; they kill me! My legs actually start to buckle and I have to rest a few seconds.
